A new history teacher joins Mystic falls Highschool named Alaric Saltzman, who speaks to jeremy of increasing his grades and to do a history paper.Jeremy introduces him to Jenna. Meanwhile, Bonnie keeps having horrific dreams of her ancestor Emily Bennett who attempts sending her a message. Bonnie and Elena and Caroline have a séance in the chance that they can contact Emily to find out what she wants.Caroline and Bonnie end up arguing over the necklace and once again Damon tries to get the necklace back from Bonnie Also, Damon tells Stefan that he is back in town to bring back Katherine using Emily's necklace and the truth is revealed
