History on the character Stefan

Stefan is a 145 year old vampire who was turned in 1864 by a vampire by the name of Katherine.Both his brother and himself were compelled to believing they were inlove with her and forming themselves into a love triangle that proved to be a disaster.In the year 2009,Stefan embraces the life of being a human instead of vampire and stops feeding off humans and killing them .As we all know , vampires cannot walk into the sun however there is an enchantment on a ring that enables Stefan and a few Vampires to walk in the sun without turning to ash. Stefan is introduced into the series in the high school of mystic falls and a sudden attraction is formed between him and Lead female Elaina,played by Nina Dobrev however it is sooner revealed that she has a striking resemblance to Katherine and Stefan has actually met her long before the meeting at high school.

In  the past,there was a feared vampire, it was said that when he would fall of the wagon,an entire village with be torn to bits,Compelling of people to become feeding tools and the destruction of life revolved around this vampire.Decades past in fear of the Ripper Vampire and his name was Stefan Salvatore.
