The small of town of Mystic falls, The lead Elena Gilbert and her smaller brother, Jeremy, mourn the death of their parents recent death. Elena is very well popular amongst her highschool and an excellent student. However, she is suffering coming to terms with the death of her parents and hidnig it from the world whilst her brother uses drugs to deal with his pain. The sudden introduction of a new student Stefan Salvatore brings some romance into her life but she has no idea what Stefan's secret is and that he has a mean ass brother-Damon
